Manager convicted in 2009 scaffolding collapse deaths
A project manager who oversaw a construction crew involved in a deadly scaffolding collapse in 2009 has been found guilty on five criminal charges.
Vadim Kazenelson was convicted Friday on four counts of criminal negligence causing death and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
Court previously heard that Kazenelson managed to hold onto a 13th-floor balcony when the swing stage split in two on Christmas Eve, sending five workers plummeting to the ground.

Why is the gender wage gap still so huge? In Ontario, according to the Toronto Star, women in the work force now make a whopping 31.5 per cent less than men. The Premier, Kathleen Wynne, says the problem is so grave that she has ordered her ministers to develop a strategy that will “close the gap.”
